Hello and welcome to another series of Mormon Stories. This is Natasha Helfer Parker and today the topic is pornography.

This is a subject currently affecting many Mormon stories, Mormon meetings, and pretty much our general Mormon culture at large.

There are many that feel the church is overdoing the pornography messages and causing more problems by making it such a prominent topic.

Then there's others who appreciate the frank discussion and accountability taking place within the church.

So today I'm diverging from the usual Mormon Stories format and that I am not interviewing a Mormon.

I wanted to try and get a more objective perspective on the topic and was trying not to get the Mormon bias in the way, although I realize that there's always biases.

And so I have asked a prominent psychologist and sex therapist, Dr. Stephanie Bueller, to join me today.

She's the director of the Bueller Institute with offices in Newport Beach and Riverside, California.

And she's also the author of a book called Sex Love and Mental Illness, a couple's guide to staying connected, which just recently came out.

Dr. Bueller treats people of all different races and cultures, religions, and is well familiar with the problematic behavior that can be associated with pornography.
