Summary

Over the course of a month in the 1970’s in Sacramento, California, 6 people were murdered. Neighborhoods were on lockdown, residents paralyzed with fear to unlock their doors. But what was found behind the closed doors at the victims’ households was far, far worse than what anyone could have imagined. Richard Chase didn’t get this nickname for no reason...he earned it. He drank his victim’s blood and ate their internal organs. This all came from a belief that his own blood was turning to powder. Could this have been prevented?
