Today on the show we'll be discussing what it's like to be an author in your 20s

and talking about who some of the exciting young authors are that everyone should

know about.

And I'm joined by four guests.

So first up, we've got our producer John Joseph Adams.

He's the editor of Light Speed and Nightmare magazines.

And he also oversees John Joseph Adams books,

an imprint of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

He's the series editor of the best American science fiction and fantasy, and he's also edited

many other anthologies, including the recent books Loosed upon the world and

what the bleep is that. His new mythology

cosmic powers will be out in April. So John welcome back. Though I am now old and

withered it's good to be here. Then next up we've got Seth Dickinson, who you may remember from our panel on Cyberpunk

back in episode 53 and our panel on dinosaurs and science fiction back in episode 155.

His short story Three Bodies at Matani appeared in the best American

science fiction and fantasy 2016 and his first novel the traitor

Brui Cormrant has appeared on countless best of 2015 reading lists. He's also

studied racial bias in police shootings and

written a war for Bungee's smash-hit video game Destiny. So Seth, welcome to the
