Hey everyone. Welcome to MCU fan show episode 242. My name is Sean Gerber and I am

joined by the one and only Paul Herman. How you doing Paul? I am doing well. I'm

very excited to talk about the all the amazing things we got from the

MCU last year which we're actually considering we're in a pandemic and

everything we got a lot a lot last year so it's super exciting to kind of go over and talk about our

favorite things from it. Yeah absolutely so this episode is the previously

announced overly hyped although we didn't hype it that much the MCU fan awards for

2021 I know that we are now deep into 2022 but we're kind of piggybacking off of the Oscars which are happening as we record

this episode so guess how much we're paying attention to that. No we wanted to also have some time

as we had mentioned throughout the year, to let some things

sit a little bit because Hawkeye finished at the very end of the year and Spider-Man, no way home, came out pretty close to the end of the year and Spider-Man No Way Home came out pretty close to the end of the year

and didn't want either of those projects to benefit from recency bias or be

artificially restrained to try and counteract Recency

Bias. We wanted to sit with these projects for a little while in addition to

everything else that we were treated to from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 and the

2022 year for the MCU is it hasn't actually kicked off yet it's about to we

record this just a few days before Moon

Night premieres its first episode on Disney Plus. So that will really start this

new year for the MCU. So before we get into that and start enjoying everything Marvel

Studios has to offer in 2022, we do want to honor the best that we got from

the MCU in 2021 with the 2021 MCU fan awards and this is

something that carries forward a tradition that we started almost 11 years ago with the very first Modern Myth Movie Awards
