In today’s Monday Message, Emily shares that your biggest teacher is your actual lived experience. It’s the way you respond to your lived experience that will produce a specific outcome for your life. Ask yourself, how are you responding to the things you are experiencing in your life on a day to day basis? Are you choosing to learn and grow from experiencing making a mistake? Or are you choosing to stop trying after experiencing one failure? Are you willing to step outside your comfort zone to seek a new experience? Patterns and habits are great and necessary, but if you refuse to try new things because it’s out of your comfort zone, you are essentially not growing or learning. Emily encourages you to try new things in order to be a student so you can learn and experience something new which can allow for growth and new perspective. Learning, taking action and executing are all important aspects of growing and evolving. Don’t just listen to this podcast. Take notes and take action in order to produce a new lived experience in your life. That’s today’s message.

Your greatest teacher in this world is not going to be a person or a speaker or a certain thing, but your greatest teacher in this world is going |
0:22.4 | to be your lived experience. Your lived experience will teach you so much more than any podcast, |
0:29.3 | any book, any advice, any speaker could teach you. Your lived experience will be the thing that |
0:36.1 | molds and shapes you into that best version of |
0:39.6 | yourself or not, right? Because two people can go through the same thing and respond completely |
0:45.0 | differently. So it's actually your response to your lived experience that will produce one or the |
0:51.8 | other, right? And if you want to live a great life, if you want to live a |
0:55.1 | fulfilling life, if you want to live the happiest life, most peaceful and joyful life that you can |
0:59.8 | possibly live, you have to choose to use every single thing in your lived experience to make you |
1:04.9 | better. So knowing that your lived experience is your greatest teacher, then I would ask you guys, |
1:10.2 | what have you currently been experiencing in your life? And what is your greatest teacher, then I would ask you guys, what have you currently |
1:11.3 | been experiencing in your life and what is your response to it? These are questions that you |
1:16.0 | should write down and after this podcast really answer them in every single area of your life. |
1:21.0 | What is your current lived experience and how are you responding to this lived experience? |
1:26.0 | And now the next question that I would ask, and you, and this question comes from the fact that we as humans are, we are creatures of habit. |
1:33.4 | A lot of us have the same routines. |
1:35.4 | We eat the same meals. |
1:36.8 | We do the same thing on Thursday nights, right? |
1:39.4 | A lot of us have these habits and routines and patterns, which can be very good, right? |
1:43.9 | They can be what |
1:44.7 | helps us practice, dedication, and consistency in our lives. And that's incredible. And it's a |
1:49.2 | crucial aspect of building and growing that drive, that discipline, that relentless work ethic. |
