And I am super excited for our episode today because we have, this is going to be kind of a

0:41.5

different one where this is a Meet the Coaches episode. So I've got Kat Jenkins here with me and

0:48.2

Mimi Porter. And we are the primary coaches, particularly for one-on-one coaching in the overcoming Pornography for Good program.

1:03.6

So excited to be here today.

1:05.3

It's so fun because we've all been on the podcast in one form or another, but this is the first time that we're all, like,

1:12.7

in the same episode, which is so fun. Yeah, I'm totally excited. Awesome, awesome. Well, so

1:21.8

since this is Meet the Coaches, I wanted to start out with us just kind of giving a little introduction to ourselves

1:30.7

and how we came to be working in this awesome, amazing program. Kat, do you want to go first?

1:39.9

Sure. Well, how I got to coaching initially was kind of a roundabout way. I feel like I got here in a much different way than a lot of people. And maybe that's not necessarily true, but that's my own story right now. Like I was working at a bank for like nine years. And I just was feeling like, I don't know, like this non-purpose. Like I was like, I'm, I mean,

2:02.6

I'm going to work. I'm helping people sort of with their money, but it just didn't feel very

2:06.9

impactful. And so I just felt myself like one yearning for more, looking for something. I

2:12.6

didn't know what it was. And I, somebody that was just like came to help one day just mentioned

2:17.4

that she listened to podcasts. And of course I'd heard podcasts, but I'd never really listened to podcasts per se. And so she mentioned podcasts. And then I started seeing it everywhere, like people posting on their social media. I listened to this podcast and I was like, oh, that's interesting. And Jody Moore came up, of course. And so I started kind of listening to her. And then she said, well, I got into coaching through Brocacio's life coach school. And then I was like, wait, what? And so then I was like, wait, I could be a life coach. And I didn't experience life coaching before I became a life coach. I'd never been coached before in my entire life. Like, I feel like other people had like joined that world and then decided. And I just was like, well, I want something else. And so I became, I went to the life coach school and I became, I became a life coach. And so I had zero experience before. So when I got there, I really fell out a place. I was like, I don't know anything. Like everybody kind of knew stuff. And I was like, I know zero. And I remember my mom, but when I was telling her I was doing this, she was just like, well, whoa, whoa, maybe you should think about this. And I was like, no, I've already decided. Like, this is what I'm doing. This is where I'm going. And so it was once I saw it, once I knew it, I was like on the path. But it just, it was not the typical path. I don't think that most people took to get to life coaching. I think they experienced it before. They decided they were going to be a life coach, but not me. I decided I'm going to be a life coach and then we'll see what happens. So you just went with your gut, which is awesome. And I've met so many great people and I'm so grateful to be here in this particular program working with you ladies and all of our clients.
