Welcome back to another episode of the Faith in Business podcast. I'm your host, Mia Renee, and this is

0:05.0

the place to be if you want to keep God at the center of everything you do as an entrepreneur,

0:09.6

as a leader, and as an influencer. Let's get into another powerful topic. In today's faith episode,

0:15.6

we're going to talk about the importance of having our peace in the giver and not in the gift. And how do we know

0:25.4

if we're putting our peace in the gift? Well, all the blessings in our life are blessings.

0:31.0

But the minute our peace is shaken by those blessings coming or going or being disrupted at all shows us and

having them in open hands. I think of it like this because I tend to struggle in my life with,

1:23.4

I'm fine when everything's going well. These areas of my life and all these gifts are just there

1:30.1

and everything's great. But the minute one of those goes out or is, you know, taken away or something

1:38.6

happens and my peace goes with it, then I know my peace was in that gift and not in the one who gave me

1:45.9

the gift, right? If you think of the story of Job, he was the ultimate test of being blessed

1:51.3

with so much, having so many blessings, and losing it all, losing all, every, all of his

1:57.7

possessions and his loved ones and everything that he cherished and everything he had

2:01.7

been blessed with, even losing his health, he was covered in boils. And he still continued to

2:07.2

praise God and thank God and trust God. Why? Because his peace was in the giver and not in all of the

2:14.0

gifts. And God restored him and restored everything back to him and then some,
