| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the happiness podcast. I'm Dr. Robert Puff. I grew up in Iowa and my grandfather was a farmer. And every summer I had the privilege |
| 0:18.3 | and honor to go spend some time with him, helping him on the farm and taking care of the vegetables and fruits that he |
| 0:24.9 | grew there. |
| 0:26.6 | Every day we go out to the fields and we would pick fruits, pull weeds, and just take care |
| 0:31.6 | of it. But during the summer when things were growing, it was a daily task. |
| 0:36.0 | He had to every day go out to the fields in order to keep that garden doing well. |

| 1:28.8 | when things were growing, it could go from order to disorder very quickly. |
| 1:34.0 | And this concept of things going from order to disorder probably makes sense in our own lives. |
| 1:40.0 | We can, for example, spend the day cleaning our house, making it look just perfect, and within a few hours, or at least a few days, it can go back to disorder. |
| 1:50.0 | We could spend a few hours washing our cars, getting it wax, and it can just look beautiful. |
| 1:57.0 | But again, within a few days of driving, it goes back to being dirty, dusty, and needing to be washed again. |
| 2:05.0 | Or think of our finances. We may be living in a very nice place, things are going well, |
