All right.

So, this week, because we seem to have hit on a stream of Bertolt Brecht, basically.

So I think in the introduction to who I'm talking to, I talk about why I'm talking to

about Bertolt Brecht. So I don't know if we need to say any more than that, really. I think

it's very illuminating discussion. I found it fascinating. It made me want to dig into Brecht

because I haven't even thought about Brecht

since high school drama.

Yeah.

But it's made me want to dive into it.

He's really interesting character.

It is tremendously relevant to, you know, I think,

you know, stand-up comedy and where we are now, really.

I suppose we didn't really get that much into his activism in a way.

But there's some of that in there.

Yeah, that does come up.

The crossover between politics and performance.

How you have this theme going, how we shouldn't, you shouldn't have to be like a pundit. It's more like, it's more about creating art out of this climate. Yeah, well, I'm just questioning that, really. I mean, that's my, I mean, I suppose, you know, I am present, I am personally presented with that dichotomy all the time, really,

whereas out if I wanted, you know, I ever thought it would make any difference?

I would probably dive into activism, but it just seemed, you know,

it seems to me that the sacred role of the comedian is to be a comedian is not to be an activist.
