I'm Anna Eliopoulos with your Fox True Crime Minute. Renewed justice for a Kentucky man falsely convicted of murder.

Jeffrey Clark spent over two decades behind bars for the 1992 stabbing death of Ronda Sue Warford,

a crime he says he never committed. His conviction was finally vacated in 2016 after new DNA testing exonerated him, undermining key evidence used at trial.

And two years later, his charges were formally dismissed.

Now Clark is being compensated for his troubles, a jury awarding him over $24 million in a civil lawsuit,

where he argued that investigators engaged in misconduct to secure the conviction,

including fabricating statements, pressuring witnesses, and withholding evidence that supported his innocence.

Officials with Mead County say they are reviewing the verdict,

Warford's murder remains unsolved and no one has been convicted in the case.
