Summary
Chelsea is a mother, teacher, survivor of gun violence, and advocate from Calabasas, California. Amy has known Chelsea since first grade, and although their paths diverged after high school, social media helped them stay in general touch. However, it wasn’t until Chelsea posted about her escape from a mass shooting on the anniversary of her survival, that Amy began to learn more about her friend’s more recent journey. The shooting at the Route 91 Music Festival has been featured on many major media platforms and mediums, but Chelsea has never shared her journey publicly. Thus, we are eternally grateful she was willing to share her experiences, and all that’s come next for her within her healing.
