Today, I was just coming out of a two-day conference on unknowability at the new school.

And the last speaker in the last session today was a sociology professor from the University of Sussex.

I did not know about it. There there is a full field called ignorance studies.

They even have a handbook.

I asked her in the Q&A session, are you aware that in India, in Vedant, for a period of nearly a thousand years

from say 800, from Shankaracharya's time to about 1700,

there was an intense discussion on ignorance, avidya.

And she said, no, I don't know that.

And so ignorance.

And she was very interested.

She wanted the information and they are going to publish articles about the

Vedantic concept of ignorance in their Rutledge publishers,

a very well-known academic publisher, they're going to bring out a handbook of ignorance.
