Today, we're going to talk about one of the parenting paradoxes.

That you want a child who listens to what you say, but then you expect them to turn

into an adult who can make decisions and advocate for themselves.

The issue is kids don't suddenly turn from listening to everything to becoming an adult

who can chart their own path and think independently.

which is often okay with your kids.

There's also some flexibility with parenting, right, where you can change your mind and
