This episode is with a young woman named Jenny Nordback.

She has written a fantastic book called The Scarlet Letters,

My Secret Year of Men in an LA Dungeon.

We talk about the trials and tribulations

subtitles and how generally it's the publisher that comes up with the subtitle,

much to the chagrin of the author. Because in fact, she spent more than a year in LA Dungeons

as Mr. Crimson, I think that's her name, her dungeon name. She's a dominatrix. Interestingly,

it's, but the subtitle doesn't really do it justice because she spent more than a year.

She was not only with men, there were other women involved that were important characters

in her story. And she was also a sub for the first six months. So she was submissive for

six months and then she was dominatrix for the rest of the time. So as usual, it's far

more, it's a far more nuanced story than the subtitle tells you, but that's life.

So anyway, the book is out this week. If you're interested in that world, you're interested

in sort of alternative sexual communities, I recommend it. I haven't read the whole book.

I hadn't read it when she came here the other day, but I've been looking at it in a few
