At age 14, Karin Montbertrhan recalls, I remember watching a dance performance and it was so exciting.

I said to myself, this is what I want to do.

I did the conventional going to college, which I'm glad I did.

But ever since then, even if people in my family didn't want me to do it, I still knew deep inside, that's what I was going to do, whether I said it out loud or not.

Karin, are you using your talents doing work that you love? Yes, I am, Don. I'm working as an actress,

which is what I love.

It's very exciting, and we want to hear the whole story.

Karin Montbritran is a professional actress based in New York, who has performed off-Broadway and at major regional theaters throughout most of the United States, including Alaska.

She was born in France, but as a dual citizen who grew up in the U.S. with an American mother and French

father. She's also the award-winning narrator of numerous audiobooks and an acting teacher

specializing in Comedia, De Arte, Mask, and Physical Theater. Corrine, that's a pithy summary of your

career. Tell our listeners around the world what you're up to now that has you

engaged and fascinated if you would. Okay, sure. Well, I can talk to you a little bit about what I'm

doing at this exact moment and this season. This season, I'm in New York. The last seven years,

I was part of a company in Delaware. And so I've come back to New York and let's see. I've

been acting. I've been working on a solo show with a grant from Amherst College, a director. I've

worked with a lot. And we've been working on this show for a couple of years.
