So now you're quite associated with Italy.

It's something you write about, you work with the wines a lot.

When did you first travel there?

Well, my first trip was in 1971 and I was a university at Santa Clara and I was at a

Jesuit art institute and they decided they needed to send something to the Jesuit

headquarters over there in Rome.

And so what I did was I decided I needed to give myself a 20th birthday present.

So I said, hey, I'll take it for you guys.

And so I got to see the inside of the inner circle of the Jesuit headquarters in Rome.

What was that like?

That was pretty interesting.

I mean, it was inside the Vatican

and these guys, you know, they're the money guys

and kind of all the mystery. And all of a sudden I was there with you know some

pretty powerful priests and delivering a work of art. It was fun. Had a nice glass of, a little cup of espresso, and then I went on my way.

So it was a work of art. They asked you to bring up. Yep. Yeah, it was. It was because we were, we had an art

institute that summer, they had made something for the president of, or the head
