And to be fair, this is one of my favorites.

Let us to Wallace's Lotus Year and all the secrets of the China dossier.

Love it. Welcome one, welcome all to part three of Wallace's Duchess of Windsor.

Holy cats. We left last week, Wallace having a good time in D.C., a little bit brokenhearted.

Yep. She's going to come to China to try to save her marriage again, following her husband, Wynn, who doesn't win at all Spencer at his posting overseas.

Wallace would later refer to this time as her lotus year.

The entomology of Lotus Year is taken from Homer's Odyssey, where he refers to the Lotus Eaters.

Lotus Eaters are people who spend their time indulging in pleasure and luxury rather than

dealing with practical concerns. Other folks would later try to turn this Wallace Lotus

year into something a little bit more evil, something way more salacious.

It is this year that Wallace spends in China that would be used as fodder to spread all the gossip, all the rumors about her to tarnish her name in the future.

Right.

The China dossier, let's talk about that.

The China dossier was a document that was reportedly circulated by the British establishment

and supposedly included stories from Wallace's Lotus Year including Wallace frequenting brothels,

espionage, being addicted to opium, modeling for pornographic pictures, having an affair with

an Italian fascist, working for Chinese gangsters, and pretty much any other thing that would make her look

like a harlot sounds like an eventful year that is a big that's a big resume i mean most people would

need like five or six years to squeeze all that in but wallace simpson man i don't know how you do
