woman who sells herself to a man. Now, you see, this is, we've already highlighted a crucial difference

between me and you because I grew up watching the Image Entertainment special editions that were

put out by the company we're talking about today, Something Weird Video, which always

opened with this two-minute trailer advertising all of their releases. You'd see clips from

movies with titles like The Curious Doctor Hump, the smell of honey, the swallow of brine,

teaserama with Betty Page, a ton of other films, mysterious films, strange-looking films,

full of all these bizarre moments of audio from these movies.

Like, have you ever heard of an Egyptian feast?

Well, I know that's from Blood Feast, right?

Exactly, exactly.

And, you know, that opening two-minute trailer for me, and perhaps for some

listeners, always felt like a doorway into another world, a portal into a land of infinite possibility.

So when did you start watching, I assume, tapes and or the image distributed DVDs of the company

something weird? I remember when I was a young man, like in the early 2000s, I would go to HMV or Sam the

Record Man downtown, and they had these DVDs that had something weird video on them, and

there were titles like Bad Girls Go to Hell and Another Day, Another Man.
