Summary
Today we're sharing our ultimate day, inspired by our most recent interview with Aubrey Marcus.
We discuss the things we'd do from morning to night to support our health and wellbeing. We do all of these but not typically within a single day but over the course of the week.
What would your ultimate day look like?
In this episode, we discuss:
- Waking up without an alarm
- Hydrating first thing in the morning with a big glass of filtered water, lemon juice, & a pinch of sea salt
- Marni's homemade energy drink
- Movement and sunshine in the morning
- Sweating it out in the sauna
- Ending your shower with cold water
- What we eat for breakfast
- Working at home vs outside the house
- Eating weird foods for lunch
- Embracing a good nap
- Afternoon walks and play
- Making balancing, nourishing, & delicious dinners at home
- Doing dishes can be fun
- Winding down in the evening
- Having a nighttime device dedicated to podcasts and mediation
- Optimizing our bedroom for deep sleeps

| 0:00.0 | Hi, I'm Ernie Wasserman with Jesse Chappas from the Ultimate Health Podcast. |
| 0:10.4 | Welcome back to another Focus Friday, where we give you short bursts of information and |
| 0:14.4 | inspiration to set your weekend off on the right foot and today we're talking about |
| 0:18.8 | the ultimate day and this is going to give you guys a little snapshot of what the ultimate day would look like in our lives. |
| 0:26.0 | And to give you guys a little perspective, the reason we're going over this right now is because we just had Aubrey Marcus on the podcast and the |
| 0:34.4 | interview plus the book he just put out is all about owning the day and hence |
| 0:39.4 | owning your life so Marty and I decided to put together what we think an ultimate day |
| 0:45.2 | would look like in our lives. And these are things that we do most days. So you're |
| 0:49.8 | going to get everything from AM to PM all the way through and we do a lot of these things, not necessarily |
| 0:56.1 | every day because that may not be realistic, but if you look at a snapshot of our week as well, |
| 1:01.3 | you would see and we see that a lot of these things fit into most days. |
| 1:06.8 | So we're going to kick it off and kind of go in order of the day starting off with first |
| 1:11.0 | thing in the morning here and the first thing we want to talk about is that |
| 1:14.8 | Marney and I are lucky enough to wake up without an alarm most days of the year. We were talking about it |
| 1:20.0 | actually before the recording here just in pre-show and talked about how there might be, I would say even |
| 1:26.0 | less than five days a year where the two of us need to set an alarm which is something we're so grateful |
| 1:30.9 | for. As entrepreneurs, we work together, we work from home, |
| 1:35.3 | and we don't need an alarm, which is amazing. |
| 1:38.6 | It's so key and it's so nice. |
| 1:40.5 | So naturally I do tend to wake up early, but it's nice when you have the same set time every day. |
| 1:46.0 | So I'd say on average we wake up between 645 and 715, |
| 1:50.0 | and as soon as we get up, the first thing we do is we go and we hydrate. |
