Summary

This year was our second year making the trip up to New York to try tracking down a buck in the snow. Getting experience trying a new tactic is a ton of fun but we also enjoy sharing camp with other hunters that spend more time hunting these areas every year than we do to talk hunting and learn from each others experiences. In this episode, Keith and I talk with our friends Jon and Jake from Just Hunt Club as well as our friends Cori, Bailey, Adam, and Brad who we met through our travels to New York. 0:03.5	tracking. Keith and I just went up to New York. It was the second time that I've
0:08.5	been up there attempting to track down a buck and one of the things that I like
0:12.6	about going up there is I get to meet up with other hunters that have more
0:17.2	experience in this area and get to sit down have a whole bunch of conversations
0:21.6	with them in general and on this podcast that's exactly what we're going to be
0:25.7	doing. I've made other trips to New York my friend John Lewis who worked at
0:29.7	Midwest white tail with us back before we started THP lives up there and through
0:34.7	him I've met Jake Corey Bailey Adam and Brad in this podcast we're gonna just
0:41.0	be discussing some of the things that we learned telling some stories and just
0:44.6	covering a lot of different topics within the strategy of tracking in the
0:48.8	snow. I think it's a lot of fun to learn about tracking I'm super excited to
0:52.9	get more experience doing it but unfortunately it just feels like I never quite
0:56.9	get enough time to do it so probably gonna have to set my priorities a little
1:00.2	bit differently next year that way make sure I have enough time to commit to it
1:04.1	when the weather's right. With gun season going on right now I've been thinking
1:07.5	about my scope a lot. I've been using the Viper HS 2.5 to 10 by 44 scope for the
1:14.4	last two or three seasons now and it's honestly the best scope that I've ever
1:18.6	had if I want to pull up on something quick inside of 40 yards that 2.5 power
1:23.9	which is what I keep it on at all times is perfect for that but if I have a
1:28.2	little bit more time I can still zoom in. Also while we're up there tracking in
1:32.2	New York John was showing me his new scope which is a vortex crossfire 2 1 to 4 by
