Welcome to Ari Shephard's Skeptic Tank. Number, hold on, I have it open. 233. It is the sixth in the series of album commentaries that I'm doing.

I don't know if you guys have tuned into any of these other ones, but I started with the first episode of 2014. I didn't give it a number. I just called it number 2014.

It was a review, not a review, but sort of a breakdown of my own album, Revenge for the Holocaust.

I talked about where all the bits came from, you know, the trouble I had in making them, why I decided to do it where I did it, all that stuff.

And then Tom Sagore went next. He did one, he was into doing one. He was number 159, thrilled he won over his first album.

And he sort of talked to me about all of it. And then I went into a Burke Christchurch, which made me angry. Number 168.

And then Simone was 191. Remember this. Steve Simone and then Joe Rogan doing with him. Shiny happy G-Hod episode 193.

So today I have Kyle Kanane on and he's we're doing a review, not a review, not a review, commentary. It's a commentary.

On his first album, Death of the Party. I could have done whiskey at Grus, but I kind of like going over these guys like first albums instead of later ones.

I mean, Rogan, the word I did with Rogan wasn't his first, but really that's because I was there while he made Shiny happy G-Hod.

Like I was on the road with him from start to finish on that. So I kind of had an insider point of view on it.

But otherwise I sort of like the idea of doing a first album. It wasn't intended that way, but when I started it. But it became that.

So today I've Kyle Kanane. If you don't know Kyle Kanane, it's because you're not a fan enough, a stand up comedy. He is a true American stand up. I mean, people respect him.

Comics respect him. He's just like a legit comic. He doesn't, I don't know. I guess he's not famous.

But my theory is once you get famous, you're going to lose a lot of your fucking artistic prowess.

You're just not going to be as good. The people who are legit, like awesome, are the ones coming up, the hungry people.

And Kyle Kanane has been in that range for a while. He's one of the best comics in the country right now.

And so it's kind of an honor. I've been trying to get him to do this for maybe almost a year.

I've been talking about it. Now that we're both in Scotland, I was like, hey, let's do it. And he was like, fuck yeah, let's do it.

I've been getting so much drunkenness in Scotland. First of all, I'd like to change my rule. I had a rule you never drink with, excuse me, when I say you never drink, I mean, you never keep up.

But you never drink with Canadians, Australians or people from Chicago. I'd like to ask, I'd Scottish people to that list.
