I needed to find something in my life to find meeting after I left the military, you know,

you got that big void and little did I know it was going to be called to coaching because I'll be honest with you.

I didn't know anything about football. I didn't really care about

anything in football. It was all about the development of these young men because I

didn't have anybody in my life when I was growing up and that sucked and I didn't want these guys growing up in the

town that I grew up in and the school that I want to and be lost.

then getting out of it. How's it going?

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Bremerton, Washington, kind of a Navy town, which made you know have that rough background with blue collar town so yeah

born raised there and then went into the Marine Corps after I turned 18.

What did you do in the Marine Corps?

I started out as a 3521 mechanic,

diesel mechanic, and I had a natural gift for training so I became the training guide for many years and ended up as a company gunning at my last unit.

You said 35 what? 21.

35 21. I'm not familiar with that. What unit were you on?
