David spoke at a conference called Up from Chaos and serving American security. It was put on by the American conservative and the American moment.

0:33.8

Saga also spoke there as a panelist as well. So this is an episode where we're interviewing David about realism, restraint, those topics, a note which people who listen to the Ukraine series that we just completed last week.

David Sacks, welcome back to the realignment. Great to be with you. Yeah, it's good to see you. So we actually spoke at both spoke at this conference up from chaos here in Washington, D.C.

2:38.4

Part of the reason I wanted to do this episode, I was in the backstage area while you were giving your speech. And I thought it was a really important one, especially from somebody coming from Silicon Valley to come and address this DC based audience.

2:53.0

So I thought we might start out with the James Stockdale quote that you had within your speech. First of all, tell us the quote, then explain the reference for some of the younger viewers.
