Summary
Waiting well through the adoption process, working towards financial freedom for your family and battling comparison as a parent of a child with delays are just a few of the topics we hit on today with my guest Alison Storm. She talks to us about her season of waiting and her distaste for the phrase “it happens in God’s time”. Alison saw child slavery first hand on a trip and it started a fire in her to change her parenting to battle entitlement. She founded an organization that can get your kids involved and feeling empowered too!
Alison Storm calls the south home and began her career as a television reporter working in newsrooms around the country. Alison was a part of HIS Morning Crew which airs on HIS Radio across the Carolinas and coastal Georgia, serves as the features editor of Belle magazine and facilitates Financial Peace University at her church. In 2018 she founded Crowdsourcing Kids, an organization that taps into the entrepreneurial spirits of young people to fund wells in India and support children rescued from slavery. Alison and her husband Tim have two little world changers, Sammy and Phani.
