Hi, I'm Helen Tupper and this is the Squiggly Careers podcast and today's episode is one of a special

0:08.4

series of short conversations that we've had with this year's LinkedIn change makers,

0:13.2

which we are also very proud to be included in. Each of the people is pioneering change

0:19.0

in the world of work. They're making an important

0:21.5

difference in areas including equality, mental health and sustainability. And we're really

0:26.7

looking forward to learning more about how they're all making that change happen and their hopes

0:31.0

of the future and probably even more importantly how we can all get involved to support their work.

0:36.8

So today you're going to hear

0:38.2

my conversation with Martin Sibley. Martin is the co-founder and CEO of the Purple Goat Agency.

0:44.6

There are specialist disability and inclusion marketing agencies. And Martin is one of the most

0:49.8

1:17.2

that you can follow all of his work beyond this conversation in the show notes too. So let's get

1:21.7

started. Martin, welcome to the Squiggly Care's podcast.

1:30.3

Hello, Helen. Good to be here. I'm so excited to talk to you and about your change.

1:35.6

So maybe we'll start there. What is the change that you are passionate about?

1:39.5

So within the LinkedIn context, the sort of punchy line, if you like, is around having more disabled people

1:45.1

and leadership roles. And I would say that there's sort of been a broader mission through my life

1:50.8

and my career around disability inclusion in general. I've got a disability myself. I'm a wheelchair

1:56.7

user. And yeah, it's just a real passion to drive change and have more inclusion of disabled

2:02.3

people in the world. And what was the point at which you realised that you wanted to be a really

2:08.3

active change maker? So it's something that you're passionate about, something that you personally
