Hi, Kate. Hi, Jess. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Good. I'm really excited about what we're going to talk about. Pets. Pets. I love pets. So tell me about your pets. I think you've gone into it,

but like walk us through it. Yeah. So I've got some dogs. I've got some cats.

And I would say that if you are one of those people that kind of is currently struggling and don't really know what to do, if you can get a pet, if you don't have one, they are so amazing in the healing process.

It helps you create a whole new routine.

I know for me, one of the things, you know, about getting sober was my whole routine had to change.

And when I got sober is when I got Regina George, one of my Frenchies.

And it just gives you a schedule, you know, you have to walk them, you have to feed them, all this kind of stuff.

So I feel like it kind of gives you a little bit of, what's the word I'm looking for?

Like accountability almost.

Accountability, it gives you discipline.

It gives you, there's, I mean, it's just endless.

And they're fucking cute. And they're the best. And they love you unconditionally. And they don't

fucking talk back. I have two Frenchies. One of them was a drunk purchase. The other one I got

after I was sober. I have gotten two dogs while

drunk. Have you ever done this? No. Yeah. So I used to get drunk a lot, obviously, hence this

podcast. And I used to, so, okay, I was at this place, Taukaria, getting to go food.

And they forgot one of my tacos, so they gave me a margarita to have while I was waiting.

And this place makes the most banging margaritas you ever have in your life.

Fresh lime juice.

Anyway, so I was sitting there and I already had a margarita, as one does at, you know,

11 a.m. on a fucking Sunday or Saturday. And then they gave me another one. You were brunch in.
