Beth and Tung Tran's son Jack was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes six months ago at the age of two (While Beth was 8 months pregnant).
This episode is a fantastic look into the first few months of life with type 1 diabetes as well as an eye opening (for me) look about how things have changed since Arden's diagnosis.
I was heartened by how the Tran family is embracing diabetes technology and the diabetes community online. Moreover, I was elated to hear about how their physicians made the family aware of technology and Internet based type 1 diabetes communities.
Spend an hour with this delightful family - learn which Pixar movie characters their kids are named after, feel their positive outlook, hear how a Facebook group has helped them with T1 and immerse yourself in their geekdom (Tran mention's Princess Leia's bikini a lot).
