Summary

I hope you appreciate the several, unintended, Dr Who references in this episode. If that's not enough to keep your interest, you might want to unsubscribe (just kidding!). Listen on for more from Emelie and Eva (and me) on creating structure and flow in your training sessions and dealing with errors when they come up. Hey there, Hannah here. Welcome back to drinking from the toilet. This week, we are taking a trip to Sweden to hang out with Emily and Eva of

0:22.5

Carpe Momentum. Unfortunately, we have to take this trip virtually and not in person. The budget

0:28.5

doesn't really allow it, but we are still going to have a good time. Emily and Eva are perhaps

0:35.2

best known for their book, Agility, right from the start.

0:38.3

And they're also popular speakers at Clicker Expo, which is how I met them and how I got to know them.

0:44.3

But really, that is only the tip of the iceberg of their training and behavior knowledge.

0:49.3

This is one of my longer recordings, and I think we could have easily gone on all night.

There were so many interesting little side paths that we could take and

1:11.7

1:17.5

And we've already discussed scheduling a follow-up conversation to make sure that we capture as many

1:22.5

of those cool little side passes as we can. So I'll make sure to get those conversations scheduled and recorded,

1:29.3

and I'll get that out to you guys as soon as possible. So don't worry. This particular conversation

1:34.3

focused on what to do when errors happen. When you're training and the dog or you make a mistake,

1:41.2

how should we handle that? What's the best thing to do immediately following an

1:45.4

error during training? How can we structure our training sessions to prevent mistakes? And if

1:51.6

mistakes happen, what can we do to keep them from just totally tanking everything? What does a good

1:57.1

training session look like? How should it flow? And what is the point of miniature

2:02.2

golf after all? I hope you enjoy it. I know I did. Hey there. Welcome to the podcast. Thanks for
