and my goal is to give beginning gardeners the. Today I'm welcoming a special guest to the show, Whitney Cromley.

Whitney is a fairly new gardener, but she has taken up this hobby with as much passion as I have, and I really think her fresh perspective to

gardening successes and challenges will give great insight, especially to those of you guys who

are just starting out. Plus, she does most of her gardening in her backyard in raised beds, which I know many of you use

exclusively as well.

We're going to talk to her about what she grows in her Missouri garden, how she's overcome some

particular challenges, what advice she gives to beginning gardeners, and more.

I'm so excited to introduce Whitney to the show. Whitney and I grew up in the same town and

in the same church, but because she's a few years younger than me, we didn't start really

connecting until we found one another on Facebook a few years ago. It was through this connection

that I saw her beginning her

garden maybe a year or two after I started mine. She messages me pictures of her garden and questions

she has and we talk about it quite a bit. I have to say, I feel kind of like a proud mama

every time I see her post pictures of her garden. It's so exciting to watch. And that's one reason

I thought you'd love to hear from her. Whitney, thank you so much for coming on the show today.

Yes, thank you for having me. Well, first before we dig into gardening, why don't you introduce yourself

and tell us a little more about yourself?

I'm Whitney and I'm married to my husband, Kurt. We've been married for nine years and we have

three kids, my son Drennan, who turned 14 this week and twin girls who will be eight this summer and in my spare time I run a non-profit for cancer

patients in our area called Canterburgs and I have a blog that I sometimes have time to work on

called Blessed Chaos.
