We've all probably experienced it at some level.

Think back to the height of the pandemic when maybe your congregation was physically closed for

business but Pastor still went to church and he still preached the sermon and he still said prayers

and you watched from home that's just a little taste of what some people think the future of the

church is not just watching from home on your laptop or on your phone but actually every Sunday

participating in what's called the metaverse this other place that is virtual.

You don't actually go there you just visit it online.

You think it's the future of the church is it or is it even compatible with what scripture has to

say about Christ's bride the church. Welcome back to issues etc.

We're going to talk about the church in the metaverse. Pastor Roland Weitzbrook joins us.

He is pastor of Victory Lutheran Church in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada,

an author of the metaverse and the ecclesiology of the future, a Lutheran perspective.
