Hello everyone and welcome to Attitudes Weekly ADHD experts webinar.

Glad you can be with us. So many of our kids have started school so it's a good time to be talking about how to

motivate our students as teachers and parents to help their kids do their best during the school

year.

Jerome Schultz, a former special education teacher and a clinical neuropsychologist, will be helping

us come up with a game plan to do that.

Today we'll discuss the science behind how the ADHD brain works and learn the key differences

between an ADHD brain and a neurotypical one in terms of what motivates each of them. Then Dr. Schultz will give us practical tools

to help kids tune in to what is being taught in the classroom,

which I think is exactly what parents and teachers need and want at this point.

So let me introduce Dr. Schulz.

He's the author of a wonderful book, Nowhere to Hide,

Why Kids with ADHD and LD hate school

and what we can do about it. I've actually read it twice so I highly

recommend it. He is on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and has been working with kids

with ADHD and L. D. H. D. D. H. D. D. D. with ADHD and LD for 35 years.

He writes regularly for Attitude magazine.
