What is going on, everyone. Welcome to the fit, healthy, and most of all, happy podcast.

0:05.3

I'm your coach and host Josh here with. His co-host and co-coach, KG, and I'm in the house. Today, you know, we were talking kind of about what's going on, checking up on clients, you know, seeing where everyone's at. And it's definitely obvious right now. there's a lot of tension in the world between COVID the election

0:22.4

you know a lot of civil unrest and a lot of you know racial tensions right now it's definitely

0:26.8

understandable that it can be you know kind of makes you want to shell up stay indoors and kind

0:31.0

of throw everything aside and it can definitely be very challenging and you know the one thing

0:35.9

one tip we really want to talk about

0:37.7

today and kind of get into is just not really, these are serious things and they need to have your

0:43.6

focus and attention. They need to be given light. But we really want to implore you to not let these

0:48.7

external things dictate how you feel. You know, I've even seen other people posting, hey, calories

0:53.0

don't count for three days or I can't move for three days. And, you know, one thing I'm very passionate about is, you know, when something's bad like Kyle's analogy of when you drop your iPhone, don't just keep throwing it down. And, you know, when you're not feeling the best, you're not the most motivated or things outside of your control are kind of haunting you. I'm a big fan of trying to find positive outlets as opposed to negative outlets

1:13.5

because when we're not feeling the best and we kick up our feet in hands

1:17.4

and we do more things that don't make us feel good, like, you know, just eating everything

1:21.5

in sight, skipping the gym, not being active, just consuming media, consuming media,

1:26.6

can really make us want to shell up and lose some amazing habits. And it can just kind of further that sorrow. You know, we like to call it kind of, I forget what it was, cycle of despair or something, because something bad happens, you feel worse. So you respond with something that makes you feel worse. And it just keeps going on. So that's why when things like this, serious things are outside of your control and the world's crazy, it's important to take care of your mental health and take care of yourself first. You know, do something that mentally, you know, helps relax you. Go to the gym, you know, get some endorphins going, spend some time to meditate, spend some time to journal and explore how you feel, you know, take care of your nutrition, eat good foods that build you up and surround yourself with, you know, good people that are going to help you feel happy and motivated in your best self. And, you know, these are the things you can control, whereas a lot of these other things are outside of our control, unfortunately. And, you know, it's just something that we're really

2:17.7

passionate and we wanted to share today. What are you thinking? Yeah. I mean, as you know, we were just talking about this. I'm on the exact same page as you. And I just think a lot of times I see, uh, I just, I just see it happen. And it's, I mean, not going to lie, it's been a brutal year for for everyone. It's just been, it's been insane. Like I, you know, we all want to fast forward it to

2:35.1

2021. But at the end of the day, I think one of the things brutal year for for everyone it's just been it's been saying like I you know we all want to

2:34.2

fast forward it to 2021 but at the end of the day I think one of the things that's helped me

2:38.9

out the best and even the all the recommendations I've been giving to help all my clients

2:43.5

succeed because let's get real they're all absolutely crushing it because they have us

2:46.8

by our side is just trying to focus on the things that we can control right so once So once again, I'm not blowing all of this off and saying, oh, you know, you can't control any of this stuff, but there's a lot of things that we can control, like our daily actions, things that we focus on, you know, whether you spend six hours watching the news or maybe watch 10 minutes of news highlights, All of this stuff is going to be a big factor.

3:07.8

And if you're someone truthfully, like, I don't watch the news and I'm not going to spend seven hours, but I will be up to date on what's going on. And I think there's a big difference. And there's some people who are just striving and looking for that thing to get them to feel off. Like at the end of the day, if you're going to be consuming this stuff 24-7, you're going to feel off.

3:26.8

You're not going to want to do anything.
