0:11.6	Welcome to the Bible Study podcast. I'm your host, Chris Christensen. Last week, we started the study of First Samuel,
0:22.3	as we see the birth of Samuel as Hannah, his mother, who has been without child, calls on God
0:28.3	to give her a child because she is desperate for one, especially because her husband is married to two
0:35.0	women, and the other one has children. This week, we're in
0:39.3	the second of these two introductory chapters before we see the ministry of Samuel start at a young
0:45.0	age, and we learn a little more about Hannah, and then we learn a little more about Eli, who is
0:49.5	that priest that Hannah went to and Eli's sons. First Hannah's prayer. First Samuel two.
0:57.6	Then Hannah prayed and said, my heart rejoices in the Lord. In the Lord, my horn is lifted up. My mouth

2:04.2	He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.
2:10.9	It is not by strength that one prevails. Those who oppose the Lord will be broken. The Lord High will thunder from heaven.
