Summary

Girl, this week’s episode is a whole word, straight from my own mama drama! 😅

In this episode, I’m getting real about motherhood, mindset, and learning how to stop spiralling and start relaxing.

We’re talking:

✨ How to check your thoughts before they wreck your peace

✨ Why your inner dialogue might be holding you back

✨ The importance of building a real village — not just one for social media

Plus, I’m sharing updates on how I’m showing up in this new season — from daily YouTube content to Black Holiday 2025, a celebration of Black businesses and wealth-building.

So, grab your coffee (or your baby monitor), and let’s laugh, learn, and remind ourselves that sometimes… it ain't that serious.

0:23.3

You can have it all as long as you are willing to work and y'all this episode is inspired by my own foolishness okay i as y'all know

0:37.0

am six weeks postpartum right now. So all of the life lessons that I'm

0:41.6

learning in this season are through my child and just through the act of mothering. It's so

0:47.7

crazy how much I have had to raise myself or how much mothering has raised me while I'm over here thinking

0:57.2

that I'm raising these kids. And any mothers out there, you can absolutely relate to the fact

1:03.4

that you can be in the middle of teaching your child something, hear yourself saying the words

1:08.8

out loud and learn the lesson yourself. It's such a crazy

1:14.1

experience that we're literally growing as we are watching our children grow. Or we should be,

1:21.1

at least. Let me say that. So the other day, I wake up bright and early in the morning,

1:31.1

and I woke up before my baby woke up.

1:35.9

So when she woke up or when she was about to wake up, I could hear that she sounded like she was breathing funny.

1:40.3

And it sounded like, I don't know, is it congestion?

2:04.0

It just sounded like, you know, something was in there, whether it was her nose, her throat, something was somewhere. And I felt like I could hear it. So she was making this sound and I'm like, oh, no. Okay. Now let me preface this by saying, I am a worrier. Okay. So when I'm having all these conversations with y'all about mindset, it's because I've personally had to learn the power of changing your mind in order to change your circumstances,

2:10.1

your situation. It all depends on what you think and how you think. So I know this because I'm

2:15.2

such a work, so much of a warrior I've had to learn this lesson

2:18.1

the hard way several times. So before I had this baby, I knew obviously I'm having a baby

2:25.3

in October. October is right at the beginning of the winter flu season. You know, I've been

2:32.5

seeing people talking about COVID coming back around.
