the rock chick writer extraordinaire, Ms. Leslie Ann Jones. Leslie Ann, can I ask you one thing

please before we start? I'm not joking, but I thought when I saw the

Stones starting their American tour with a tribute to their drummer, Charlie Watts, the late Charlie

Watts, I honestly thought, pack it in fellas, I don't think they should have done it i thought it was distasteful well i'm inclined

to agree with you but what about if you were one of those americans who'd spent your hard-earned

dollars on a ticket for that gig and that tour was obviously sideline because of covid

and you've been waiting all that time and you wouldn't have wanted to waste your money.

You would have wanted to go and see the Stones.

Would you, without Charlie Watts, would you really feel, I mean, look, we know that the age of the average Stones fan is about my age.

I'm 66, okay?

So we're later on in life and

we've done pretty well out of life where baby boomers and all that, but I don't think I

would have gone to that concert. I'd have thought, no, it shouldn't be done without Charlie Watson

behind those drums. It's certainly not the stones. I know they've lost members of their groups

before, sorry, of the group before.

Brian Jones, of course, being the first. And you weren't young enough, I don't think, Leslie,

and to remember when Brian Jones had to be replaced at the concert in Hyde Park with Mick Jagger

wearing a sort of frilly, girly, girly dress, reading out a tribute to
