There's all I love reading investing books unless they repeat themselves over and over.

I just read one.

It's called Odds On and it's a memoir from Matt Hall. He's a financial advisor based out of San

Louis, Missouri and I interview him here on today's podcast and he has an interesting story

about starting in kind of the Wall Street brokerage arena, just kind of fresh wet behind the

years, realizes very quickly how backward it was.

And if you read books like Flash traders or The Big Short, you do realize that Wall Street makes a lot of money and a lot of times they make a lot of money on a lot of sheep.

And you can, yeah, you can end up spending more than you really want to.

It happens with 401k too.

Not at the one I'm 401k because I set that thing up with pristine

attention to detail and fees but for most you know you end up paying a lot of

fees and those fees are a lot of times hidden and it's scary to invest.

You don't even know what you're investing in sometimes and then you find out, oh gosh, there are fees and

all sorts of hidden things and what am I really getting into?

It can be scary.

So you read Matt's book, odds on, and it's just a great story.

It's easy. It's kind of a one, two hour read.
