Summary

Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!

I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…

Let’s get started!

Solina: Hi Dr. Cabral! Female in my late 20s. I grew up running (and love it) and I’ve had to stop because of horomone (low progesterone) and adrenal issues. I’ve worked with a IHP health coach, following a protocol of adrenal soothe, lower impact workouts (resistance, weights, walking) but I really miss running. For context, I like semi-long distance at 5-8 miles, but whenever I run (even 2-3 miles) I get exhausted. Any suggestions on how I can get back to running at least 1-2x per week? It also helps me lose weight much more seamlessly than strength. Thank you!!
Tina: Hello and thank you for everything you do for us! This year I would love to go to a wellness, retreat center somewhere in the United States that incorporates pretty much everything that you believe. Do you know of a place or can you recommend a place to go to that can assist me in my health journey? Also have you ever considered hosting a retreat, wellness week or weekend? If you did I definitely would attend. Thank you so much!
Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral, I have struggled many years with chronic constipation, trapped gas, and bloating. I have seen several "specialists" and received CT scans, x-rays, colonoscopies, etc. only to have them shrug their shoulders. During the imaging, doctors noticed several areas that appeared to be scar tissue and always asked if I had "been shot" or had abdominal surgery, neither of which I have. Dietary intervention has helped with additional post prandial symptoms, but the symptoms prevail nonetheless. My question is with regard to abdominal adhesions, or scar tissue, without having had surgery. I understand this is common following intra abdominal procedures, but am curious as to how it could develop on its own. Is it possibly a result of spending years being constantly bloated and distended? For some context, I am 27, workout daily, and seem to manage stress well through my day-to-day. I am currently awaiting results from the Complete Gut Bacteria & Parasite test. Also, I have been seeing a physical therapist for over a year that specializes in visceral manipulation and lymphatic flow and they are certain the scar tissue is the culprit. Their treatments have helped but not entirely resolved issues. Sorry for the lengthy question, and I truly appreciate and value your response.
Pauline: Hello Dr Cabral, I had severe endometriosis before and had surgery to remove them including 2 big chocolate cysts and a whole lot of adhesions in my pelvic region. Now, I even lost one tube and it looks like my other ovary is stucked to my uterus. It may be due to endo again or scar tissues from 2 surgeries. My other ovary has chocolate cyst again - found out after my 2nd ivf procedure....which failed. I came across serrapeptase as a supplement to clear blocked tubes. I am wondering if this can help with adhesions and chocolate cycts too? Age is catching up on me and I can't wait to be a mother. Have been trying for a few years without avail. I am looking forward to your reply. Hopeful, Pauline
Sam: Hi doctor Cabral,What do you think about earthing sheets? I live in a big city and can’t really go barefoot on a daily - or even a weekly base, so sleeping on one of those sheets sounds like a great solution. Before investing in it, I wanted to hear your opinion because I trust your judgement and knowledge greatly. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts about it! Thank you! Sam
Sylvia: Hi doctor Cabral, First of all, thank you for this incredible podcast. I’m learning so much about my health, it’s incredible! Secondly, I wanted to tell you that one positive thing that these difficult past two years have brought me, is that I have more time to walk. My average step count for the last year has been whopping 19500, which is incredible(!!). I haven’t lost a huge amount of weight, but I feel amazing and am in the best shape of my life. Now that we are getting back to the normal schedules, I won’t be able to walk as much, so I’m a bit concerned that I’m going to gain weight and not feel as great. What do you think? How bad will it be to get back to my normal 10K? And how many steps should I try to take in order to keep my great results from the past two years? Thank you! You are amazing! Sylvia

Thank you for tuning into this weekend’s Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right!
