Tracy on the show for your Monday millionaire motivation. Today he's talking about some of the

secrets of self-made millionaires, and especially when it comes to becoming more resilient and accepting reality.

One thing that I've been doing this year, if you follow me on Instagram, you know this.

I've been reading a lot of personal finance books, especially when it comes to kind of behavioral finance, neuroeconomics, how people behave and make decisions in the markets.

And one thing that I've learned is that, you know, most days of the year, the stock market is going to be up 0.5% or down 0.5%, like somewhere within that range.

Or every couple of years years there's a 20 percent

drawdown in the market and what do people do when there's a drawdown in the market 20

percent they freak out they start selling all their stocks like oh my god this is at the end it's over

which isn't the best behavior to display in that particular situation you're're just going to lose a lot of money, right?

And I think the best thing that I've learned so far is that, you know, in financial news,

there's all this talk, you know, the lows and how this event's going to happen,

and then this is going to happen to the stock market.

And sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, the ups and the downs and the obstacles and the problems. And when you pay too much

attention to it, it can make you a little crazy, right? And I think it is really helpful to understand

that this is all normal. This is how it's always been. This is how the market is.

This is the reality of the market.

And the best thing about is that despite these highs and these lows and these recessions and these comebacks and all that stuff, in the end, the market ends up higher than it was before.

Right.
