0:34.0	And today, we are diving deep into emotional recovery with Kathy Gildner.
0:40.7	Now Kathy is a New York Times bestselling author and a retired clinical psychologist who spent years doing the Lord's work,

0:53.6	So her most recent book was published in 2019 and it is called Good Morning Monster, a therapist shares five heroic stories of emotional recovery.
1:02.7	And this book is about the five patients that had the biggest impact on Kathy throughout her 25 year career as a therapist.
1:12.3	Five individuals who managed to survive horrendous childhoods, like dysfunctional incutinate, these were horrendous childhoods.
1:21.4	And how their unresolved childhood pain showed up in their lives as adults.
1:27.4	And in my opinion, this book is a beautiful example of why it's so important for an adult child to seek therapy to work through this shit.
1:35.6	And the importance of digging up the past, shining a light on the pain of the past, and most importantly, that healing is possible.
1:43.4	And this book illustrates what healing looks like, not in theory, but in actual practice.
1:49.8	Now each patient on the surface seems vastly different.
1:53.6	But as the layers of the onion were peeled away, Kathy could see that their unconscious needs were the same.
