New York scene bringing in the wines of France Cam, thanks for taking the time to visit us.

Merci Levy, thank you for inviting me.

Why don't you tell me a little bit about what you're up to these days?

I know I recently started your own company.

Let's hear more about it.

Well, I started my small import company in January,

and so it's been seven months.

And so far, really fun.

People are liking the wine, receiving them well. And the way I'm based, I live in France. I used to live in New York for seven years. I moved here when I was 23 or 24. And I just decided after seven years in New York I had learned what I could learn and I had done most of what I could get out of the city and I just wanted to go back to France get closer to the vineyards, learn, understand, seek out. I had done a tremendous

amount of work with when I was working at Wildman for five or six years and I have talked to winemakers but I wasn't seeing any of the

vineyards nor the vines and it's not the 10 day of vacation you get per year that allows you to do so.

And I decided last year in May just to move back to France in 11 2011 I had

not really any clue of what I was going to do but I knew it was in wine so I

moved out of my apartment and flew back to France, spent all the summer in the vineyards, going to all of the trade tastings.

I landed when there was a viniser in Bordeaux.

What's that big trade show?

Oh, Vinexpo?

Why, Vinexpo.

And I did all of the off of Vinixpo.

So you've got less of the big penguin companies. It's more of the small

winemakers and growers. I prefer small penguins myself. I think they're cuter.
