Folks, God delivered us from the kingdom of darkness. We were destined for an eternity of torment.

And he did it through his grace and mercy, not because of our wisdom or our holiness or our resources. He chose us and brought us into the

kingdom of the sun he loves. He's forgiven our sins.

He's made us righteous which has changed our eternal destiny.

I assure you he can deal with any cultural challenge we face.

What an honor to be with God's people. We're going to pray,

offatory prayer, we're not passing baskets and buckets yet, but we are praying God is our

sustainer. Folks, the economy is, how shall we say, economies is messed up as the exit from Afghanistan.

And the same people that are telling you that they did that well are telling you they're managing the economy well.

I promise.

And so we need to understand where our source is and what the point of stability in our lives is and who it is we're trusting for our future.

The reason we are generous is generosity is an exercise that helps us put our trust in the Lord.

It's really not about church budgets or the needs of other people.

In practicing generosity something is built in us,

the confidence that the Lord will sustain us.
