We got Brendan Bershard back on this show today.

Today, Brendan is going to encourage us to develop a life philosophy and to live from that philosophy

and to get clear on what he calls our life operating system, which is what we believe,

why we're here and how we're showing up.

And this talk, when he gets into the part about mortality, motivation, reminds me of a video

I saw of Gary Vaynerchuk many years ago, and he's walking on the street and a guy comes up

to him.

He says, hey, Gary, you know, I'm 30-something years old, whatever it may have been.

I'm trying to do whatever, trying to become successful. What's the best advice you have to give me?

Actually, I think it may have happened when Gary was in a taxi cab. And Gary looked at him, he says,

you're going to die. Right? I always remember that you are going to die at some point.

And it's up to you how you get to look back at your life.

Do you get to look back at your life in a way we're like,

oh my gosh, I'm so proud of everything I did.

I'm proud of how I used my life, the gift of life.

Or will you look back with a bunch of shoulda-cuddle-a-would-us?

We're only here for so long, and very often we act like we aren't.
