Hello heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot. I'm James D'Amato, your game master.

This week we're taking a look at our friend and co-worker Jim McClure's game, The Terrible RPG.

That's Tare, as in to in to tear a piece of paper because the terrible RPG is an entirely kinetic tabletop game

In terrible players write down skills on a sheet of paper.

And in order to accomplish anything using those skills, they have to tear off a piece of paper large enough

to cover a physical space predetermined by the game.

It's good, silly fun, and it's one of the easiest micro games to teach a new group of people.

Right now, our friends over at the IGDN are funding their 2017 meditopia scholarship.

Every year, my favorite convention,atopia, invites game designers from all over the world to test their newest designs.

Attending Metatopia allows designers to play test with the general public,

along with noteworthy peers like Ken Height,

Hannah Schaefer, Jason Morningstar, and more.

The Indie Game Developers Network hosts a scholarship every year

to provide new and diverse designers with the opportunity

to attend meditopia.

At one shot, we believe innovation in game design is paramount to growing the gaming hobby.
