Hello, welcome back to the show.

Today's episode is with graphic designer David Carson.

Does his name sound familiar?

Perhaps his work, however, you absolutely know. And highly influential graphic designer, both in the surf world and outside, he began his work at Transworld Skateboarding Magazine,

which led to work at Surfer Magazine, who then supported these short-lived but very much revered side project.

Beach Culture Magazine, Raygun Magazine.

David has had wild success outside of the surf world with clients from Audi to Armani, Yale University.

He's done album cover art for nine inch nails.

He did a TED talk back in 2003 when the list of TED speakers was very short

and among the very elite performers in their field.

I was connected with David Carson through album surfboards

who is launching a collaboration project. It's of course their surfboards adorned with his artwork.

They'll be launching that collaboration at the boardroom show this weekend. And guess what?

David Carson will be there. I've published a guest list that'll be doing meet and greets in my booth,

and David Carson is joining that illustrious list.

He'll be there on Saturday from about 1.30 onward, maybe for an hour or so.

So swing by, he's going to bring some posters to sign.

And then also, in the past week, Greg

Martz from the Waterman's Guild has confirmed his attendance. He's going to be coming by on Sunday

around noon, and then he'll be sharing time in the booth with Josh Martin, Dave Parmanner.

Those guys both have their boards glassed at the Waterman's Guild. So that's the connection.

They're all really good friends.
