| 1:20.0 | Sure, we can logically think through our options, but when we get to the moment in which we need to actually make a decision, it's all about the emotions. The concept behind this was originally presented by a neuroscientist named Antonio Damasio. |

| 1:38.0 | Back in the 1990s, Antonio worked with several clients who, due to brain lesions, were not able to make decisions. |
| 1:46.4 | Virtually everything else about them seemed normal. |
| 1:49.2 | They were capable, intelligent, they could logically consider all of their options, they knew what they could do, they just couldn't decide what they should do. |
| 1:59.0 | Now after further study, Antonio realized that the reason they couldn't make decisions |
| 2:04.1 | was because those lesions stopped them from being able to generate emotions |
