Hi, can you hear me? I'm Emily, how are you? I'm good, how are you? Good, how is the baby shower? We literally had training and we actually overrun a little bit, so we were quick turn around to get to baby shower.

0:29.0

Well, we appreciate it, you know, your schedules are crazy. So yeah, we'd love to know, how have you enjoyed playing at the curve so far?

0:35.0

Yeah, I'm really enjoying it. I feel like I'm learning every day and it's a very competitive squad, so it's not always easy getting game time and getting into the start of 11.

0:47.0

But I think the kind of the standard that we hold each other to is really, it's really top and yet it's been a really exciting experience so far.

0:59.0

What's been one of the biggest suggestions for you with playing on a new team?

1:04.0

I think, well, I've played for a few different teams actually over my career so far and I think the biggest adjustment for me to come here was moving country and being, you know, in a different time zone to my family and friends and stuff like that.

1:22.0

But I think with the way that football soccer is obviously you guys call it, it moves so fast. So you just have to adjust quickly.

1:33.0

Otherwise, I guess you get left behind.

1:36.0

Is it annoying that we call it soccer? It is. That's right. You can say it.

1:40.0

Time limit.

1:44.0

Yeah, what do you think besides the time zone? Like what do you think the biggest adjustment coming overseas to hear is like do you think the style plays a lot different or the training style is a lot different?

1:55.0

Yeah, I think comparing it to some of the clubs I've been at definitely the work ethic is massively high here and like I said, the standards and stuff are very high.

2:09.0

So every training session almost feels like the game in itself, which is why I feel like I've improved a lot.

2:16.0

So kind of settling into a team that pushes those standards definitely changes you as a player.

2:24.0

Does that ever feel like mentally exhausting or tiring to like have to feel like you are on? I mean, obviously as a pro you have the feeling that you have to feel like you're on all the time.

2:34.0

Does that like non-stop fighting for a position feeling like you need to be doing all the extra putting in all the extra workers that ever like mentally get fatiguing for you?

2:44.0

Yeah, 100% and obviously with the recent book that I've released a lot of the book is about in the mental side of the game and the mental battles and struggles that I've quite had to deal with over the years and throughout my career.

3:00.0

And I think for me, sort of one of my proudest parts of being here is being able to kind of put everything I've learned into practice with that.

3:10.0

And I think 90% of the game is mental and especially with my story, I feel like it took me a long time to kind of realise that and it's only now that I can really kind of appreciate it for what it is.

3:25.0

But like definitely because if you're not starting or playing that many minutes, you kind of always have to be ready to be called upon and you have no idea when that moment might come.

3:38.0

So it definitely gets exhausting and draining, but you just have to try and stay grounded and kind of keep checking yourself and that's what helps you get through those moments.

3:50.0

Yeah, we absolutely want to touch on this book more. So this year came out where it's called brave enough not to quit.
