Dilbao. If you're new, welcome. I'm so glad you found the podcast. I've been doing this since

2013, and I say this every week, but it's my favorite thing I've

ever done. I get to meet such cool people, have these long-form conversations and basically

first friend dates. And if you've been listening for a while, welcome back. I'm so glad you're here.

It's the best thing, getting to meet people who listen to the podcast, people who I get to talk to on the podcast.

Like today's guest, I have my first friend date with Adam J. Kurtz, and it's one of my favorite

conversations I've had in a while. We talk about marriage in a really mindful way that was maybe

one of my favorite conversations about marriage ever. We talk about the internet and social

media, which was maybe one of my favorite parts of this conversation, self-help and the good and the

bad and the ugly with that success as well. And we talk about New York, which I loved, but maybe for

longer than we should have. I realize that I'm so fascinated with New York,

and so I just assume that everyone else is, but I know a lot of people listening don't live

in New York, and that's completely cool. I used to not and may not always, but I'm so fascinated

with it that I'm considering starting another podcast just about that. Anyway, but I kept it in because I thought it was interesting.

And unfortunately, Adam didn't have a ton of time. He was so kind to give me some time on this day

where he was going on a major trip the next day. And I don't know if you're like me, the day before

a major trip, or just like going on a small trip,

I was just in Arizona last week, which was great.
