Good morning to you. So you're based in New Zealand in Gisbon.

I come from a little town called Gisbon on the east coast, northeast coast of New Zealand.

In fact, one of the things that we're famous for is that the first city in the world to see the

sunrise each day. Oh, okay. So I'm kind of like getting your sloppy seconds.

Yeah, yeah, by the time it comes here, we've used it.

How did you end up there?

Oh, that's where my wife comes from and it was one of the initial wine-growing regions of New Zealand

way back in the 60s and 70s.

How did that start to get going in the 60s and 70s who was there and what were they planning?

I will have some big wine companies and they were planting you wouldn't believe at MulderGarr and hybrid varieties and all that sort of stuff that people

wanted to drink in those days to make jug wine or cask wine.

Where is Gizman exactly?

It's like north of Fox Bay, it's on the north island on the east coast.

So somewhat close to the water.

Yeah, yeah, where our vineyards are sort of within five kilometers of the Pacific Ocean.

Which kind of makes it an interesting area because during the heat of the summer it's quite cool because we get this nice refreshing air off the

Pacific Ocean it's good refreshing

So in an era before Marlboro got really popular.
