This is episode 212 of the counselling tutor podcast. And today we kick off with our counselling foundations where we recognise that the foundations, the basics of counselling

and which we build our practice are so important and it's important that they are strong

and today we're going to be looking at a skill in counselling and that is the skill of summarising

and I have it on very good authority that there may be an extra added dimension to this one. We then move on

to focus on self. That's the part where we recognize that we as the practitioner, we form the

heart of our practice and we need to look at our own lives and how we show up in our practice

to be well enough to be in service of others. And today we're going to be looking at managing our personal relationships,

what can come up during counseling training or thereafter for us in our personal lives.

And then we go on to practice matters where we dip our toe into the pool that is practice.

We look at different presentations that may come along in practice,

different ways of looking at that, professional items of how we run our practice. And today,

we have a special guest lecturer and that is Michelle Harrison Lee. Rory met up with
