Hey guys, it's Mike. This is episode number 212 of the way I heard it. It's better than good. It's done.

0:11.8

That's the title I'm going with. It's better than good. It's done. And it starts with a true story

0:18.0

that takes place in the blink of an eye. It's the story of a daredevil on his

0:22.6

deathbed who looks back at his remarkable life moments before shuffling off his mortal coil

0:28.5

and recalls the many high-speed chases that defined his career. That's followed by another

1:34.1

inseminating cows, crawling through sewers in prime time, and exploring feces from every species.

1:41.5

It was Michael Orkin who allowed me, in spite of his boss's strenuous objections,

1:47.0

to develop a segment called Somebody's Got to Do It, which of course went on to become

1:51.4

dirty jobs. In short, I owe the guy a debt. I can never repay. So I ask him to come on the

1:57.2

podcast today just to catch up and recall a few of the moments that made my time

2:01.9

at Evening Magazine. So memorable. I also wanted to thank him for summing up in just a few words,

2:07.9

the challenge of producing a daily show, which he did succinctly one evening during a last-minute
